Well, you aren’t alone.  Less than 30% of Americans get enough sleep to fully and properly function the next day.  Sound familiar?  Thus we bring you the most effective ways to kickstart and boost your energy throughout the day.

  • Try stretching, which will help increase oxygen flow to the brain making you feel more vigoruous and attentive.
  •  Spend a few minutes walking outside.  The combination of natural sunlight and fresh air will work wonders.
  • Get your caffeine fix.  An 8 ounce cup of coffee will help get you motivated in the morning.
  • Another option is supplements (such as the Akavar weight loss pill) which works much like coffee and can provide similar results, giving you an increase in energy throughout your day.
  • Drink plenty of liquids to ensure you avoid dehydration and extreme sluggishness.
  • Eat energy-packed foods such as protein, whole-grain, and veggies.  Try raw veggies with low-fat dip, a turkey avocado sandwich on whole wheat bread, or yogurt with fresh fruit.
